On a school night, even. The two rival teams, and the (Osaka) Hanshin Tigers certainly had their chances, but lost a nicely contested 1-0 match to the (Tokyo) Yomiuri Giants.
Best thing about baseball in Japan? Maybe the trumpets in the stands? maybe the drums? Or is it the songs they have for each player to cheer them on? Or is it the seventh inning stretch?
I also added photos from the Osaka High School supporters group, who showed us how to make washi lamps, made out of Japanese paper. We then played some trivia, too!
