Smooth (air) sailing, relatively speaking, so far. "I thought it was fun," was the disarming comment I heard from one of the students when discussing the turbulence. Lol, thanks, but no thanks.

Those are pretty excited (and nervous) kids in the photo above. Nearly all of us sat near each other in the back of the plane, and nearly all of us slept. They are currently finding breakfast in the International Terminal at SFO (San Francisco).

Unfortunately, I should add that one of our students lost quite a lot of soaps, shampoos and other toiletries from their carry-on luggage because it was (way) over the limit. She took it in stride, but yeah, if those liquids had been packed away in the check-in luggage, it would be a different story. Live and learn, right?
