Countdown (-9 hours)

With less than a day until departure, my bags are starting to fill in, and I've made my last minute purchases (creamy peanut butter, a new weight scale). Now I have to organize it all, and hope it all fits in nicely.

I think it will.

The three pillars to success are:

・Language Commitment

・Academic Excellence

・Host Family Experience

If we can start off with a commitment to speak entirely in Japanese, then goals will be met. While this commitment will be difficult at first, a sustained effort will bear fruit.

Academic excellence will bear fruit as well. Our previous teachers set out to create an enjoyable and practical curriculum so that what is taught in the classroom is useful outside the classroom and inside the home. With that in mind, Let's USE what we learn in the classroom!

Which leads us to the home stay, the single most important part of feeling welcomed and loved during our stay. Making an honest effort to speak Japanese, asking to help with chores, and learning about daily life in the Japanese home will undoubtedly create lifelong memories!

It's time to finish packing! そろそろ荷物の仕分けをしなければなりません。
